So, we had the house inspection this afternoon. It took about 3 hours. Tony wasn't able to make it, as he was sick. I've been battling Bronchitis for about a week now and it has finally dwindled down to a cold. Now, Tony has what I had. While we were at the house, a lady (who was a Realtor from Cassville) showed up to show her son the house. She'd previously called my realtor about the property but was very very rude and nothing came of it, until today. She had NO clue we'd bought it. Boy, was she hateful and rude. So, I was hateful and rude back. Her son tried to ask what we paid and I wouldn't tell him. It was quite funny. You snooze you loose!!! The inspection went well. Most everything he said we stuff we already knew and none of which were a big deal. Now, we can proceed with the bank stuff. I hope we get that done this week or next. Tony's gone to NY on Mon so I'm glad we got the contracts signed. Now, if both of us can get well and stay well we'll both be happy. We're going to buy the appliances on Monday! I'm off to bed... my NyQuil is kicking in! So until next time good night!

Whirlwind
It's been a LONG time since I've posted anything. Since Nov, my life has been one crazy whirlwind. I'll start by saying it's been a great last few months. Christmas was great (got my mixer and bread maker). Tony and I bought are wedding rings in Dec (boy, those cost a lot). School is still wild and crazy. We are settled into our new building and we are making do. My grad school class started last week and I think it'll be okay, just a lot of reading. Now, for the most important part. Tony and I bought a house (signed the contract yesterday). This all just happened in the last 3 weeks. By all means, this has been the hardest and most stressful thing I have ever had to do and I hope I don't have to do it again for a very very long time. About a month ago, I found a house I wanted to look at, we went and looked and it was yucky. So, I continued to look just to see what was out there (since the economy is in it's current state and interest rates are low). We found one between Neosho and Granby. It's a foreclosure and were asking $149. Obviously we can't afford that right now. My old band teacher (Mr. Punch) works for the real estate agency this house is through), so I contacted him. He showed us the place and I fell in love. 2400 sq. ft on 3.9 acres. 3bed/3bath, huge kitchen, dining room, living room, family room (in basement), a whole bunch of closets, and a huge garage (with heat). Best off all a wrap around deck. Problems: no appliances and they took all the closet shelves, and replaced the lights with old icky ones, and the price. We'd also have to have satellite Internet and TV (expensive). Our only bill would be electric, cause it's on well/septic. Well we took Bill on as our Realtor. One weekend Brooke, George, and my parents went with Bill to look at other houses in the price range we were really wanting. Tony was out of town. All I can say is ICKY ICKY ICKY!!!!! One even had goats...lol. So after all that and 2 weeks of MATH, crunching numbers, and looking at the house we decided to put in an offer. Actually we've put in 4 offers (all this since Monday) and they finally took the 4th one. HOORAY!!!!! We got it to where we wanted (a little on the higher end than what we really wanted, but nonetheless) and they pay closing costs. We signed the papers last night. Inspection is today at 1:00, we made the offer contingent on the inspection. I hope it goes well. The house is built very very well and is in a good subdivision. I know 2 people who live out there. 2009 is off to a great year!!!!! Here are some pics of the house.
